General Manager - Hospitality & Business Operator

Lead the Sauna House Charlotte bathhouse end to end — building the team, protecting the guest experience through the thermal cycle, and owning the location's safety, upkeep, and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Build, hire, coach, and develop the team, and own scheduling, performance reviews, and HR matters.
• Ensure every guest receives a personalised hospitality experience, stepping onto the floor in any role during high demand.
• Monitor guest feedback and online reviews and coach the team on hospitality behaviours.
• Keep the facility safe, "opening day" clean, and well maintained at all times.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, vendors, and inventory management.
• Own the location's P&L, driving revenue while managing labour and controllable expenses.
• Monitor KPIs daily, forecast staffing, and lead weekly financial reviews with ownership and the franchisor.
• Drive membership acquisition and retention, and lead local marketing and community outreach.

Requirements

• Three or more years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, fitness, wellness, restaurant, or another customer-focused environment.
• Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Experience managing financial performance and operating metrics.
• Ownership mindset with a hospitality-first mentality.
• Strong emotional intelligence, communication skills, and sound business judgement.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in the hot and cold environments of the Sauna House experience.

Compensation and benefits

Compensation not carried: the employer's advert body publishes $75,000–$85,000 per year while its structured listing and JobPosting markup publish $68,000 per year
