Laundry Attendant

Run the commercial laundry at Bathhouse Berkeley Heights, keeping linens, towels and slides washed, folded and stocked for the treatment rooms and locker rooms.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
• Sort and pair slides by size, and pre-treat stains following washing instructions for each item.
• Fold, organise and stock clean linens and towels for massage rooms and locker-room areas.
• Maintain par levels so each department always has what it needs.
• Track damaged or stained items and pull them from circulation.
• Handle laundry chemicals according to safety guidelines and training.
• Keep the laundry room clean and hazard-free, monitor machines and report maintenance issues.
• Assist with inventory counts and linen rotation.

Requirements

• Previous commercial laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, including industrial washers and dryers.
• Comfortable on your feet, able to stand, bend, squat, reach and safely lift up to approximately 30 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual and professional, following schedules and communicating proactively.
• Able to work independently while supporting the team.
• Clear communication and proficiency in English for instructions and safety guidelines.

Compensation and benefits
