AIRE Ancient Baths
Pool & Maintenance Technician
New York, NY · Full-time · $26 – $30 / hour, based on experience
Keep the eight baths at AIRE Ancient Baths Upper East Side in condition — water chemistry, temperatures, plumbing, and the annual maintenance plan — alongside the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee detailed maintenance of eight pools, covering chemical levels, temperatures, cleanliness, and overall function.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues across the facility.
- Support the team in complying with the company's Annual Maintenance Plan.
- Keep stock and supplies organised and help the Maintenance Manager control stock levels.
- Report regularly on the physical state of the facility and submit daily checklists for review.
Requirements
- One to three years in a facility maintenance department preferred.
- Knowledge of facility operation including basic maintenance, electricity, HVAC, water treatment, and boilers.
- Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working around noise, wet and humid conditions, fumes, chemicals, and mechanical and electrical hazards.
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs and to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
Compensation and benefits
$26 – $30 / hour, based on experience
