Pool Technician

Look after the water at Peninsula Hot Springs' geothermal bathing venue on the Mornington Peninsula: pool temperatures and flows, scheduled water testing, treatment-plant equipment and water-treatment chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Test and adjust pool temperatures and flows, including filling and draining pools.
• Run scheduled water tests to keep the facilities safe and compliant.
• Manage pool debris, clean skimmer baskets and strainers, and look after treatment-plant equipment.
• Handle water-treatment chemicals safely and follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Provide first-response troubleshooting and communicate operational updates to Duty Managers.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in water-treatment management.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Mechanical work experience or familiarity with valves and pumps highly desirable.
• Able to work outdoors and in industrial environments in varying weather, with lifting, bending and manual handling.
• A valid driver's licence and a National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.
