Chef maintenance

Lead building and plant maintenance at Strøm spa nordique in Piedmont (Saint-Sauveur): the building envelope, plumbing and the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, geothermal and electrical systems that run the spa. Reports to the general manager and manages one or two maintenance attendants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support maintenance of the buildings and mechanical systems: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, geothermal, plumbing, electrical, controls and automation.
• Write the annual preventive-maintenance plan, see that it is followed and keep the CMMS records up to date.
• Keep the site compliant with RBQ, CNESST and insurer requirements, including legal inspections, security systems and roof snow and ice removal.
• Manage a team of one or two maintenance attendants: hiring, training, schedules and evaluations.
• Manage the department budget, coordinate contractors and report to management.

Requirements

• DEC in building mechanics, building engineering technology or equivalent training.
• Three to five years of relevant maintenance or facilities-management experience; the advert's summary line says at least five.
• Able to explain technical issues plainly and to work in an aquatic environment.
• Valid driver's licence and availability for evening and weekend emergencies.
• Permanent full-time post, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
