Pieksäwood Oy is hiring a planer operator / wood grader for permanent production work in Pieksämäki. The company makes wood products especially for saunas and interiors.

Responsibilities

• Assess and grade planed timber against the company’s quality requirements.
• Work on the planing line and in other planing-mill production tasks.
• Usually work weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; shift work may also be required.

Requirements

• Careful, proactive work, attention to quality, independent decision-making and teamwork.
• Planing experience, familiarity with machinery and timber grading are advantages, but are not required.
• Good English is sufficient. Finnish is an advantage; the employer hopes for willingness to learn Finnish.
