Space Lead - Facilities & Operations Manager

Own the building at Embrace North's Denver bathhouse — saunas, cold plunge, water chemistry, cleaning protocols and compliance — while working the front desk for the majority of the week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor all saunas: temperature calibration, cleanliness, and structural integrity.
• Oversee cold plunge operations — water chemistry, filtration systems, temperature control, and sanitation.
• Conduct daily facility inspections and maintain detailed logs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot equipment, and execute timely repairs.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, servicing, and equipment upgrades, and manage maintenance and cleaning inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes, including temperatures and pool chemistry.
• Work 25-30 hours a week on front desk operations: greeting members, processing check-ins, and holding facility standards during shifts.

Requirements

• Comfortable making the call alone — most shifts you are the only person in the building.
• A method for learning new equipment, and the judgement to know when to call an electrician.
• Willingness to complete Public Pool Operator certification, which the employer provides.
• Direct, low-defensiveness communication and a bias for action on reversible decisions.

Compensation and benefits

Pay starts at $25.00 / hour, moving to a salaried position after a three-month probationary period

• Full-time position at 35+ hours per week across facilities and front desk.
• Employer-provided Public Pool Operator certification and training on in-house systems.
• Move from hourly to salaried after the three-month probationary period.
