Guard World Spa's pools in Brooklyn and open, close and look after its saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis, keeping the bathing floor safe and dry.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the pool on schedule and dose the water with the correct chemicals.
- Open, close, maintain and support the saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis as directed.
- Watch every swimmer, enforce pool rules and act at once in an emergency, including rescue, first aid and CPR.
- Keep the pool surrounds clean and free of slip risks.
- Report repair, replacement and safety-equipment needs to the Facilities Managers.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience and strong swimming ability.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and CPR/AED certification.
- Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.
- Able to carry up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and benefits
$18-$20 / hour
- Official World Spa ADP listing.
- Safety role in a large Brooklyn bathhouse and spa.
- Hourly pay range published by the employer.
