What the work involves
Front desk staff book and change reservations, check guests in and out, take payment and sell memberships. At smaller venues the same person may also keep the bathhouse stocked and clean, brush pools or handle laundry.
It is a common way into the industry and a route to shift lead and front desk manager roles, because you learn the whole operation and the booking system.
Getting in: Adverts generally want customer service experience, and some ask for two to three years.
